Ron Jones

Ron has been married to his beautiful wife Monique for 29 years. They have five children, (Hannah, Ron Jr., Matthew, Leah and Kaitlyn). Ron was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. and was raised as a Catholic. He came to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ after his mom shared with him that salvation was through repentance and faith alone in Christ and that no works could save you. God began to give Ron a desire to know Him more and a hunger for the Word of God. Ron began to grow in his faith and got involved in a bible teaching church. After high school, Ron attended Temple University as a music major and later transferred to Hampton University in Virginia, as a pre-med major.

Throughout his educational pursuits, the hunger and desire to learn and teach God’s word continued to grow. Upon returning to Philadelphia from Hampton University in 1992 and contemplating whether to finish the pre-med program, Ron began volunteering at an inner city ministry - Teen Haven. It was at Teen Haven that God began to confirm that going into full time ministry was the direction for Ron’s life. It was also at Teen Haven that he met his wife Monique. Ron then entered Calvary Baptist Seminary and received his MDiv in 2006 from Calvary Baptist Theological seminary which was located in Lansdale Pennsylvania. In 2003, Ron and Monique left their home church in Philadelphia, WestSide Baptist church, and took a full time position at Faith Baptist Church in Sellersville Pennsylvania as the worship/counseling pastor. During his stay at Faith, Ron was able to go to China and Togo West Africa in order to help train pastors in biblical counseling.

In 2013, Ron became the Campus Pastor at Faith Christian Academy in Quakertown Pa. while continuing to be a lay-elder at Faith Baptist church. Ron has always had a heart for the urban city and in 2019, He left Faith Baptist Church to start Allentown Fellowship Church in Allentown Pennsylvania. By God’s providence, Ron was introduced to Pastor Emmanuel a year later and God began joining their hearts together for reaching the people of Allentown with the gospel. In 2022, Allentown Fellowship merged with Allentown HOPE Community Church and Ron became one of the pastors of HOPE along with Pastor Emmanuel.
